Automatic Processing of Phonetic Phenomena in the Holy Qur'an: Surah Ar-Rahman as a Model

The phonetic analysis of Qur'anic texts is a field of study that has witnessed increasing interest in recent years, particularly with the development of natural language processing tools that have enabled researchers to gain a more precise understanding of phonetic and rhythmic phenomena. This type of study is significant because the Holy Qur'an is recited and listened to as much as it is read, giving the phonetic aspect a central role in appreciating its aesthetics and rhythmic structure. This study aims to highlight the analysis of phonetic phenomena in the Holy Qur'an using natural language processing techniques, choosing Surah Ar-Rahman as a case study. The research addressed the phenomena of stress, pauses, and intonation, demonstrating how they can be accurately detected and analyzed automatically. The results showed that relying on natural language processing enables researchers to identify pause positions, types of stress, and tonal variations in the Qur'anic text, thus contributing to a deeper understanding of the phonetic and rhythmic structure of the Surah. The study also highlights the importance of employing computing in the study of Qur'anic texts to preserve the phonetic heritage and analyze its aesthetics systematically and objectively.
