Towards the automated processing of the semantic level through the creation of ontology (Field of action verbs as a model)

Abstract

Computational linguistics is concerned with describing the characteristics of language and its grammar for the computer, and the Arabic language has been able to exploit artificial intelligence in computing various linguistic levels, such as the phonetic level, the morphological level, and the grammatical level. and how to distinguish between the real meaning and the figurative meaning of the term, and thus reduce the semantic confusion that the Arabic language suffers from in the digital reality. In this study, we will try to suggest a methodology for addressing the semantics in the Arabic language by adopting ontology. We have chosen the semantic field of the verbs of movement and stillness, so that we can extract the meanings of a group of these verbs from the dictionary of meanings, and determine the semantic relationships that link them. In order to build a network of semantic relations, or the semantic representation of the associations and relationships that link the meanings of the verbs of movement and stillness, and to establish an ontology, by adopting the descriptive language (OWL) that provides the property of organizing, classifying and linking meanings; To be understood by man and machine together.
